Branch Closing Disclosure Specialist

The Branch Closing Disclosure (CD) Specialist position verifies data and documentation provided by the branch and prepares the initial closing disclosure within 24-hours of file assignment. The CD Specialist is also responsible for gathering and reviewing some funding conditions and assisting with post-closing conditions. Communicates with branch and corporate employees and settlement agents in a timely, efficient, and courteous manner.

Essential Job Functions

  • Works on all files within the “first in first out” (FIFO) order, as well as prioritizing “rush” files

  • Reviews and audits data entry in Encompass and provided documentation for errors based on information uploaded into the system (title fees, sales/purchase contract, invoices, HOI, CPL, wire instructions, taxes etc.) and makes corrections to ensure the data entered reflects accurate/compliant information and meets all state and federal regulations

  • Completes data input for Initial Closing Disclosure – verifying lender fees, title fees, and MRI

  • Sends prepared Initial Closing Disclosure draft via secure email first to the LO team and LP for review/approval and then to the borrower, closing agent, and real estate agents

  • Releases the Initial Closing Disclosure to the borrower via Encompass e-sign, US mail, and/or print to have executed in person. Sends to the title company for balancing.

  • Notifies the Branch, Settlement Agent and the corresponding Closer that the Initial Closing Disclosure has been sent to the borrower

  • Releases the file to the Closer for completion of the closing process

  • Provides wire support for Closers, including, but not limited to, VOEs and document updates

  • Understands and strives to meet or exceed all operational metrics

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalency degree

  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, time management, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated experience producing accurate and detailed work on multiple projects under time pressure

  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products

  • Demonstrated experience with high volume data entry

Physical Environment

  • This position is primarily a work remote position

  • This position involves extended periods of time sitting at a computer in a desk
