The Production Partner (Loan Officer Assistant) position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the loan officer(s) assisting with gathering required borrower documentation ensuring loan files are complete and loans close as scheduled. Supports the marketing activities of the assigned loan officers and provides administrative support.

Assists Loan Officer in preparing preliminary loan packages for processing by obtaining missing documentation and other information from customers. This includes but is not limited to collecting, sending, or verifying items like: AUS findings, Addresses on DL and the file, Credit Inquiries on Credit Report, Bank Statements, Works with LO to get Completed Income Worksheets
Analyzes customers financial data to identify appropriate products to meet customers’ financial goals
Completes loan applications according to The SAFE Act
Maintains knowledge of all Fairway policies and guidelines and understanding of all company products
Advises consumers of Fairway’s lending guidelines and procedures
Develops plan to exceed Fairway’s goals for loan quality and productivity
Adheres to all company policies and guidelines and federal and state regulations related to real estate lending
Implements and adheres to group-level systems/workflows that are established
Organizes documents and filing system by using standardized naming conventions so they can be determined without needing to be opened
Responds to customers’ general questions regarding procedures in the absence of the Loan Officer
Communicates status of approval and denial letters
Updates customers, real estate agents, and titles companies on the loan’s progress
Maintains Loan Officers’ databases of customer information
Records data on the status of loans, including number of new applications and loans approved, cancelled, or denied
Assists Loan Officers with marketing campaigns through mail, email, and internet
Attends closings, as required
Performs other administrative tasks, such as faxing, emailing, making telephone calls, to support the Loan Officer

Required Knowledge and Experience
Solid knowledge and understanding of conventional, government (FHA/VA), and Jumbo loan requirements
Solid knowledge and understanding of state and federal real estate lending regulations
Solid knowledge and understanding of customer service and intrapersonal best practices

Required Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalency degree
Prior mortgage lending or related sales experienced preferred
Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data
Demonstrated experience making solid business decisions with available information
Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience with MS Office software products including 10-key
Physical Environment
This position has a regular in-office presence. Remote options may be considered under certain circumstances and for the right candidate.
This position involves extended periods of time sitting at a computer in a desk.
